Hays Education is working in partnership with a primary school in Waltham Forest to recruit a committed and compassionate SEN Learning Support Assistant. This fixed-term role offers the opportunity to support children with a range of special educational needs, including those with EHCPs, Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and speech and language difficulties.

What we're looking for:

*Minimum one year's experience supporting SEND children in a primary setting
*Understanding of SEN needs and safeguarding procedures
*Level 2 qualification in play work or childcare
*Paediatric First Aid qualification (desirable)
*Ability to build strong relationships with pupils, families, and staff
*Calm, patient, and empathetic approach to behaviour and emotional needs
*Initiative, discretion, and teamwork skills
*Confidence in applying behaviour management strategies
