Summary

Protocol Education are working with a welcoming primary school seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with Autism (ASD).

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about making a meaningful difference, providing consistent, tailored support to help a child thrive both academically and emotionally within a mainstream setting.

The Role
• Providing 1:1 support for a pupil with ASD
• Supporting communication, social interaction and emotional regulation
• Implementing strategies in line with EHCP targets
• Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
• Adapting learning to meet individual needs
• Creating a calm, structured and predictable environment

The Ideal Candidate
• Experience supporting children with ASD (in school or similar setting)
• Understanding of autism, sensory needs and behaviour regulation strategies
• Calm, patient and consistent approach
• Strong relationship-building skills
• Experience with visual timetables, PECS or similar strategies (desirable)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
