Teaching Assistant - SEMH Support
Location: LE8, Leicestershire

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
Start Date: November 2025

Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs to flourish?
A welcoming, specialist all-through school (ages 4-16) in Leicestershire is seeking a dedicated and adaptable Teaching Assistant to join the team and make a genuine difference.

In this role you will:
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEMH needs
- Assist in implementing positive behaviour strategies to promote emotional regulation, resilience and engagement in learning
- Help to create a calm, inclusive classroom environment
- Support students to build independence, life-skills and confidence
- Develop meaningful relationships with students and staff

We're looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with children or young people with SEMH or SEN (desirable but not essential)
- Is patient, resilient and proactive
- Has excellent communication skills and can build strong rapport with both students and staff
- Is passionate about making a positive difference, thrives on variety and adapts flexibly to changing needs
- Wants to commit to a long-term role and grow within a specialist SEMH environment
