We are seeking a Key Account Director to serve as the single point of contact for a major healthcare client, providing strategic and operational leadership to ensure ISS maintains a sustainable, successful, and long-term relationship.

The role combines operational management, commercial accountability, and contract development to drive performance, growth, and innovation across both Soft and Hard FM services.

Job Description

The successful candidate will lead multiple teams onsite, manage stakeholder engagement across the account, and deliver excellence in service within a complex healthcare environment, ideally within mental health hospitals.

You will be responsible for operational delivery, financial management, and development of the account’s long-term strategy, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Lead operational teams across the account and act as the senior point of contact for the client.

Maintain commercial and financial accountability, including oversight of P&L and budget performance.

Develop and implement the Account Development Plan, ensuring a pipeline of propositions and growth opportunities.

Drive operational development of FM/IFS solutions, embedding innovation and best practice across the account.

Manage staffing, competence development, and resource-performance balance across multiple teams.

Ensure delivery of Soft and Hard FM services in line with contract requirements and operational processes.

Map, mitigate, and manage operational and commercial risks to optimise service delivery and profitability.

Analyse and report financial and operational performance, applying measurement frameworks and driving performance improvements.

Manage stakeholder relationships and maintain influence plans across the account.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

Extensive experience managing multiple teams in a complex healthcare environment.

Strong Hard FM and Soft FM experience within healthcare, preferably including mental health hospitals.

Proven track record in delivering P&L accountability and financial management for large-scale FM contracts.

Experience working within PFI healthcare contracts advantageous.

Skilled in operational risk management, performance reporting, and contract compliance.

Strong commercial capability, able to identify and deliver growth opportunities.

Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Strategic thinker with the ability to drive innovation and best practice across a multi-service account.
