Job Title:
Accounts & Canine Health Payable Manager

Overall Role PurposeManage the Accounts & Canine Health Payable team to ensure all payments-such as suppliers, veterinary services, employees, and volunteers-are accurate, timely, and compliant with policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Accounts & Canine Health Payable team, including coaching and performance reviews.
  • Oversee invoice processing, payment runs, payroll, and foreign currency transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with organisational policies and legal requirements.
  • Act as system super-user for Salesforce, Coupa, and banking platforms; manage account reconciliations.
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting, including weekly management reports and month/year-end processes.
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers and resolve issues promptly.
  • Drive process improvements for efficiency and cost savings.
  • Support projects impacting Procure-to-Pay processes and ensure team readiness for changes.
  • Handle escalated queries and ensure timely, accurate correspondence.

  • An ability to interpret and understand customer requirements.
  • Customer focused communication skills and be comfortable in providing training/support to both volunteers and staff throughout the Association.
  • Good interpersonal skills, a clear communicator and the ability to listen with previous leadership experience
  • Strong problem-solving capability
  • Strong team player and team leader
  • Experience of working under pressure and to tight timelines
