We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Domiciliary Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to individuals in home care settings. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of care plans, and the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals. A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel between clients' homes.
Duties
Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
Support clients in following their individual care plans, ensuring their needs are met effectively.
Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in condition to the appropriate personnel.
Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
Ensure the safety and well-being of clients by adhering to health and safety regulations.
Engage in regular communication with families and other healthcare providers regarding client care.
Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes.
Experience
Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential.
A good command of English is necessary for effective communication with clients and team members.
Familiarity with care plans and the ability to follow them accurately is important.
Strong IT skills are beneficial for maintaining records and using electronic systems.
