The Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a temporary fixed term contract within the Liverpool City Council Payroll and Pensions service for a Pension Officer role. This role incorporates the efficient administration of a high quality, accurate and timely pension function for a range of customers and in accordance with statutory, legislative, and contractual obligations.

The successful candidate should be conversant and have an up-to-date knowledge of Defined Benefit and defined contribution schemes. This role combines large occupational pension scheme administration with smaller private pension scheme administration including the Local Government Pension Scheme, The Teachers Pension scheme, the NHS pension scheme.

The landscape of Local Authority Pension administration has changed enormously, and the role now involves Liverpool City council being an employer as well as a Payroll & Pension service provider to individual customers as well as other local authorities and academies.

This role is fixed term to cover absence and will end 30th November 2026
