Job Title: Maintenance Engineer
Location: Mildenhall
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday – 6:30am to 3:30pm, Friday – 6:30am to 1:30pm
Salary: Dependent on experience
We are recruiting a full time Maintenance Engineer for our large client based in Mildenhall, Suffolk. The Maintenance Engineer position is a vital role working in this Department and with the business expanding the successful candidate maybe presented with more opportunities to further enhance their career.
Key Objectives & Functions of the Role:
Perform diagnostics, repairs, and routine maintenance on machinery across the site.
Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns as directed by the Head of Engineering (HOE) or Production Manager (PM), ensuring minimal production downtime.
Ensure all maintenance work adheres to company quality standards and complies with current legislation and regulations.
Carry out machinery modifications and new equipment installations when required.
Maintain accurate communication with the Head of Engineering regarding unresolved issues, machinery status, and operational concerns.
Assist in managing and maintaining spare parts inventory to minimize disruption from equipment failures.
Support and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
Liaise with on-site contractors when necessary to support maintenance or project work.
Undertake project-based assignments as required by management.
Participate in the implementation and adherence to site Health & Safety procedures and standards.
