All four of our partners (Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial and BAM) bring specialist expertise in the design, construction, operation, financing and maintenance of railway networks, including the construction of one of Europe’s latest high speed rail projects.

We're looking for an Materials Control Engineer to join our team based in Brackley. The successful candidate will support the management of earthworks volumes and ensure compliance with Materials Management Plans (MMPs) on a major infrastructure project. This role plays a vital part in maintaining accurate reporting, validating material suitability, and facilitating coordination between delivery teams and environmental compliance functions.

In this role you will assist the Excavated Materials Manager in the collation, verification, and reporting of earthworks volumes and materials quality. You will monitor and validate data from digital platforms and site teams, ensuring consistency and accuracy across all reporting systems. The role involves updating and maintaining the HS2 Materials Tracking Document and the Summarised Earthworks Quantity Schedule, as well as resolving any operational inconsistencies in collaboration with site teams.

Part of this role is to support the collection of site information and records to ensure compliance with MMPs and verification requirements. Additionally, you will provide technical guidance to delivery teams on materials-related documentation, including Remediation Strategies, Verification Plans, and Undertakings & Assurances.

About The Candidate
Essential Requirements

- Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in bulk earthworks, mining, or quarrying.
- Strong understanding of earthworks quantity reporting and calculations.
- Proven ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- You must hold full driving licence and have an access to a vehicle
- You must hold a CSCS card (White, White/Yellow, Black, Gold, Red or Red provisional)


Desirable Skills

- Familiarity with CL:AIRE Definition of Waste Code of Practice.
- Experience with GIS and data management tools such as Excel.
- Background in operational delivery within large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
