Summary
Tooling Technician
£28,000+ (DOE) + Overtime
Monday to Friday (early standdown on Fridays)
Walsall, West Midlands
The Role
Our client is a manufacturer of bespoke fabrication and injection moulded components, whose reputation for innovation and engineering excellence extends more than half a century. They are looking for a skilled tooling technician to join their established Technical Department.
With training and the support of a friendly and welcoming team, this is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled technician to develop their skills within a growing business.
What you'll be doing
- Maintaining and repairing of workshop tools and tooling machinery
- Timely tool changing overs to support manufacturing and production
- Maintaining an organized and functional toolroom
- Building and modifying tools & toolroom machinery to enhance performance & longevity
- Adhering to Health and Safety standards and best practices at all times
- Attending mandatory training as/when requested
About you
- At least two+ years' experience within a tooling role
- A manufacturing background within precision engineering, fabrications or injection moulding
- Proficiency in using hand tools and tooling machinery
- A strong mechanical mindset
- The ability to work under pressure and prioritize work
- A willingness to develop and support the wider engineering team
