Summary

Direct client support
Independent living assistance: Support individuals with managing budgets, paying bills, housework, organizing appointments, and preparing meals.
Personal care: Assist with personal care tasks like bathing and showering, though the level of personal care varies by role.
Community and social inclusion: Help clients access community events and social activities to develop life skills.
Homelessness support: Advise on housing issues, assist with homeless applications, and provide support to find suitable housing.
Operations and logistics
Food and resource distribution: Collect surplus food from local businesses, check for safety, sort it, and organize distribution to those in need.
Administrative tasks: Maintain accurate and confidential records, handle correspondence, and manage information requests.
Logistics: Coordinate the transportation of residents to appointments and activities.
Relationship and community building
Communication: Communicate with clients, volunteers, and supporters through phone calls, emails, and in-person meetings.
Relationship building: Build positive relationships with clients, community members, and local organizations to foster a sense of belonging.
Supporter engagement: Contact churches and supporters to provide information, thank them for donations, and encourage continued support.
Other duties
Volunteer management: Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers to assist with various charity activities.
Safety and well-being: Ensure the safety and security of a center, conduct welfare checks, and perform drug or alcohol tests as needed.
