Summary

Hours: 37 per week, Monday to Friday, all year around
Salary: 6 SCP 18 - 22 £31,537 - £33,699
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to support our Management Accountant team in delivering financial services across a portfolio of schools within the Trust, as well as assisting with central Trust management reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in producing management information, including month-end accounts and annual budgets.
Prepare supporting schedules and post journals for accruals and prepayments.
Reconcile balance sheet accounts and assist with year-end audit preparation.
Investigate and report significant variances to the budget.
Support the finance team in meeting statutory obligations and returns.
Build strong relationships with the finance team and school contacts.
Provide cover for team members when required, ensuring continuity of service.
School Support & General Duties:
Attend department meetings and relevant staff training.
Participate in performance reviews and professional development.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to equal opportunities and health & safety policies.
Contribute to the protection of children as part of safeguarding responsibilities.
