Location: Sizewell, Leiston
Hours of work: 37 hours per week, 5 days on site.
Our client, a leader in Nuclear Generation requires a Mechanical Maintenance Technician at their site in Sizewell, Leiston to join their maintenance team. This hands-on role involves the inspection, repair, and maintenance of mechanical systems, with a strong focus on pumps, valves, and general mechanical equipment across our facility.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate of the following skills/experience:
- Proven experience in mechanical maintenance, ideally in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Strong knowledge of pump and valve systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
- Good problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
- Willingness to work shifts or be on-call as required.
Role information:
- Perform routine and reactive maintenance on mechanical systems including pumps, valves, gearboxes, and rotating equipment.
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs to minimize downtime.
- Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance in line with schedules.
- Collaborate with other technicians and departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used.
- Adhere to health, safety, and environmental standards at all times.
