Summary
Please Note: The role is funded for up to 30 hrs/wk for 22 months at the Scottish Living Wage. The funder’s conditions insist that the job holder must have a registered disability. This can be a physical, neurological or psychological condition.
The role of the Manufacturing Operative Trainee is: to support our increasingly busy manufacturing team in the production of an increasing amount of signage for road, commercial and bespoke uses.
In the role, depending on your strengths, you will use a combination of riveting machines, CNC machinery, vinyl roller tables, printers, hand tools and sign making software to make signage to customers’ specifications.
As the role targets those with disabilities we take any resulting limitations into account and ensure appropriate adjustments are made with support of other agencies as required.
This is a developmental opportunity in that there will be support and training at hand to help you grow into the role. The job holder’s responsibilities will increase in accordance with their confidence in the job and can flex to suit an individual’s strengths.
