Balfour Beatty is seeking a dynamic Senior Project Administrator to contribute to the Net Zero Teesside (NZT) project based at our site in Redcar and Cleveland.
What you'll be doing
Reporting to Office Manager – this role is to act as a Senior Project Administrator
with responsibility for efficient operations of our Admin & Support function on the
project.
This will suit an experienced, dynamic and enthusiastic individual with previous
experience of working in a similar role (industry experience or working in a
construction/site environment is preferred).
• The role will be require to support the project mobilisation and formation of
our administrative function
• You will be required to support our Project Director and Senior Leadership
Team in the effective day to day running of project operations and to support administration requirements of different functions – with the admin function acting as a central hub for different disciplines
• Ensure the site office facilities are safe and legally compliant with statutory
legislation as well as to provide a safe workspace ie fire safety, first aid and
welfare provision
• Maintain an ongoing and open communication with key stakeholders to
ensure the smooth operation of all day-to-day facilities services
• Contractor management over multi disciplines, monitoring, management of
works planned and completed by local subcontractors and group contractors
Who we're looking for
• Devise and maintain efficient office administration processes to support seamless team operations
• Develop and maintain processes related to operation of our site offices and facilities; ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, codes of practice and safety requirements
• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety and building maintenance requirements
• Management/supervisory experience
• Exceptional Customer Service skills
• Must be confident in dealing with people at all levels to achieve required results
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills
• The ability to work independently and successfully manage varying workloads
• Experience of the procurement/management of service contracts
• Excellent organisation, prioritisation and time management skills and strong
attention to detail for meticulous record keeping; providing support working in a fast-paced environment to meet targets and deadlines
• Ability to react quickly to resolve building critical issues
• Excellent IT skills, confident using Microsoft office packages (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Able to develop and maintain good working relationships and cooperation such that issues and problems are overcome promptly
• IOSH Managing Safely (desirable)
• Full clean driving licence (travel will be required)
