Summary

Mansfield District Council – Property Services are looking to recruit a Facilities Manager to work as part of the team reporting directly to the Corporate Asset Manager

Overall job purpose:

To provide a comprehensive facilities management service of the corporate and commercial buildings owned by the Council. This will include procuring and supervising repair and replacement contracts; the procurement of maintenance contracts; procurement of consultants and the provision of general technical support.


The postholder will ensure full compliance with all legislation, statutory and regulatory requirements, quality standards and best practice relating to its land and building assets. This will include providing support to relevant service managers and provide advice to building managers on corporate Health and Safety issues related to facilities and buildings and on corporate contracts and statutory requirements. To be the “responsible person” for the technical and operational response to risks

To oversee the surveying and checking of the interior and exterior facilities including air, water, fire, electrical and mechanical circuits, plant and equipment for the Council’s operational, commercial and industrial buildings and their surrounding area for assessing and recording their condition and any defects and Health and Safety issues including the updating of the corporate database.
