About the Role
We're looking for reliable, hardworking individuals to join a well-established and growing scrap metal recycling operation in Shepshed. This is a hands-on role involving the sorting and processing of scrap metals, plastics, and other recyclable materials in a fast-paced, industrial environment.
This is more than just a temporary jobit's a temp-to-perm opportunity with real potential for long-term employment and future progression within a stable and expanding company. If you're responsible, consistent, and ready for steady work with a supportive team, this could be the right fit for you.
Shift Patterns
Current shift (starting next week):
Monday to Friday | 07:00 17:00 (1-hour unpaid break) | £13/hour
From November 2025 onwards: Fixed shift options:
AM Shift: 06:00 14:30 | £13/hour
PM Shift: 14:00 22:00 | £15/hour
What You'll Be Doing
Sorting various scrap materials (primarily metals and plastics)
Following strict health and safety procedures
Keeping your work area clean, tidy, and organised
Supporting your team to ensure smooth daily operations
We're Looking For Someone Who Is:
Reliable and available to work Monday to Friday every week
Preferably with previous experience in metal recycling or a similar industrial/recycling environment
Able to communicate clearly in English (spoken and understood)
Responsible, safety-conscious, and takes pride in their work
Seeking stable, long-term employment with a company that values its team
