Role Overview

The Head of Programmes & Enablement will lead enterprise-wide transformation and enablement initiatives, driving operational excellence across the organisation. This strategic role ensures that change programmes are delivered effectively—on time, within budget, and with high engagement across business functions.

As a senior leader within operations, you will shape and execute transformation across technology, process, and people. You will ensure alignment between programme delivery and strategic business priorities, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Change Strategy & Planning

- Design and implement a change and transformation framework aligned to the organisation’s goals and culture.
- Lead and oversee a portfolio of transformation programmes, including digital, operational, and core system initiatives.
- Collaborate with senior leaders to align programmes with strategic priorities.
- Conduct impact assessments, evaluate readiness, and identify key stakeholders for each initiative.
- Deliver measurable outcomes while minimising disruption to business operations.

Stakeholder Engagement

- Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships across all levels of the organisation.
- Lead communication strategies to ensure successful adoption of change programmes.
- Facilitate workshops, briefings, and feedback sessions to drive alignment and engagement.
- Coach programme and business leads through change and transformation.
- Act as a trusted advisor to the executive team on risks, dependencies, and success metrics.

Execution & Delivery

- Partner with IT and project teams to ensure effective delivery of change initiatives—covering policy administration, claims systems, CRM platforms, and workflow tools.
- Monitor performance, identify risks, and adapt strategies to ensure delivery success.
- Define and track KPIs and success measures to evaluate adoption and benefits realisation.
- Ensure all change programmes adhere to relevant governance and regulatory requirements.

Continuous Improvement

- Identify and address barriers to change and adoption.
- Embed best practice in programme management and change delivery.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Refine methodologies and frameworks based on feedback and outcomes.

Skills & Experience

Essential

- Professional certification in project and/or change management (e.g. Prince2, PMP, Prosci, ACMP).
- Proven experience leading transformation and change within the insurance or financial services sector.
- Demonstrated success in digital transformation, operational change, or regulatory initiatives.
- Strong leadership and people management skills (across direct and matrix structures).
- In-depth understanding of the insurance value chain (underwriting, claims, policy admin, risk, actuarial, finance).
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and facilitation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with high attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and influence across senior levels.
- Proficiency with collaboration and project tools such as MS Teams, Jira, Confluence, and ServiceNow.

Desirable

- Familiarity with emerging markets.
- Additional language skills.
