Summary

This job sits within Commercial and Framework Management (CaFM), part of Portfolio Management Assurance and Commercial (PMAC), which in turn is part of Flood and Coastal Risk Management (FCRM).
Core activities include:
Development and analysis of cost rates, models and metrics
Undertaking continuous improvement
Developing new reports and analysis as cost data sets mature
Logging of data and process issues, maintain audit trails of issues, and appropriate escalation
Responding to ad-hoc data requests from external stakeholders and wider commercial team
Engaging with and influencing EA teams who provide data sets for their improvement
Engaging with different parts of the business through regular reports to encourage correct data processes
Supporting engagement with Area Programme Teams, Project and Contract Management, Sustainability Community of Practice, among others.
Identifying opportunities for improving the data flow, processes, systems and quality within the EA
Recording and escalating issues with incoming datasets
Ad-hoc data analysis, with guidance from Lead Data Analysis
Networking with the wider business to ensure efficient working; delivery of data processes; and outcomes shared with appropriate stakeholders
Managing distribution lists for reports

The team
The Commercial Intelligence Analyst role sits within the Should Cost, Benchmarking and Intelligence Team within CaFM. CaFM provides Commercial and Framework Management services; Commercial Risk Management, Should Cost and Benchmarking Intelligence, Operational Framework Management, Future Framework Provision, and a Centre of Excellence (CoE).
Experience/skills required
Data Analytics
Written and spoken communication skills
Engagement and collaboration skills
Data management experience
Understanding of processes, data flow, and systems
Drive for continuous improvement
Familiarity with the drivers for aligning cost, carbon and efficiency and the commercial advantages to doing so
Good personal time management
Proficient in MS Office including Excel and PowerBI
Experience of working in a commercial environment
Desirable:
Degree in relevant STEM discipline
Python, R and SQL knowledge
