The Role – Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant

• Full-time, long-term role starting immediately
• Provide 1:1 and small-group academic and emotional support to students with a range of SEN
• Assist pupils with communication, sensory regulation, and social skills development
• Support teachers in adapting lessons and resources to meet individual needs
• Help create a calm, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment
• Work closely with SENCOs, therapists, and teachers to implement personalised support plans and monitor progress

Person Specification

• Degree in Psychology, Education, or a related subject (essential)
• Previous experience working with children or young people (school, tutoring, youth work, or care) is desirable
• Patient, empathetic, and resilient, with a positive and proactive attitude
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A genuine passion for SEN education and supporting vulnerable learners
