Summary
Job Description:
This Position is a key leadership role in a thriving setting, with a high responsibility for all aspects of managing a team.
The Senior Room Lead will work with the Manager and the Deputy Manager to effectively lead, inspire potential and engage their team to deliver exceptional care and education whilst ensuring all regulations and guidance set out by OFSTED is followed.
The Senior Room Lead has a key leadership role, contributing to the overall responsibility for the day-to-day oversight of safeguarding, health and safety practices and child protection in the setting, and always maintaining accurate and up to date systems and records. The Senior Room Lead must be able to work autonomously and take the lead role in these areas in the absence of the Manager/ Deputy Manager.
Qualifications
Essential - Minimum Level 3 recognised childcare qualification.
Desirable - Paediatric first aid qualification; any related professional qualification (e.g. Foundation Degree, EYPS, EYTS)
Experience
Essential - Experience working in a children’s day nursery/Pre-School/ Early Years Setting
Desirable - Knowledge and experience of delivering the EYFS; experience of Ofsted inspections; working with children with Special Educational Needs; experience in a leadership role.
