About the BRITE Programme

BRITE is one of the University of Southampton’s most ambitious transformation programmes – focused on enhancing our student record system (Banner) to improve the student and staff experience, streamline our processes, and support long-term strategic goals.

We're now entering a critical phase of delivery, and we’re looking for an exceptional Student Systems Programme Manager to lead us through it.

The Role

Lead the planning, coordination, and successful delivery of the BRITE programme
Manage programme governance, risks, benefits, dependencies, and budgets
Engage and influence stakeholders across the institution, from senior leaders to operational teams
Ensure alignment to University strategy and regulatory compliance
Inspire and support cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement

Proven experience in programme management, ideally in large-scale business or student systems transformation
Strong working knowledge of Banner or similar student records systems
Exceptional stakeholder management skills – confident working at senior levels
Ability to navigate complexity and bring structure, clarity, and calm
A strategic thinker with a hands-on delivery mindset
A collaborative, inclusive leader who empowers teams and drives results
What We Offer

The chance to lead a transformative programme that will shape the future of student and staff experiences at Southampton
A supportive team environment and strong leadership backing
A friendly, inclusive, and flexible working environment
A competitive salary and excellent benefits package, including:
30 days annual leave + bank holidays
Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS)
Subsidised health and fitness facilities
Hybrid working options
Corporate healthcare scheme
We are proactive in fostering a culture of inclusion, respect, and opportunity. We welcome applications from all candidates with an interest in the role, especially those from underrepresented groups.
