About the Role:We are seeking experienced Teaching Assistants who are Team Teach trained to join our network of schools across the Black Country. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including those with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and who are confident in using de-escalation techniques to maintain a safe and positive learning environment.We currently have schools in every local authority actively seeking staff with this qualification. Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with a range of needs, including SEMH, autism, and physical disabilities.
- Implement Team Teach strategies to manage challenging behaviour and promote positive outcomes.
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and adapting resources to meet individual needs.
- Support pupils' social and emotional development, ensuring a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
- Maintain accurate records and follow safeguarding policies at all times.
Requirements
- Team Teach certification (essential).
- Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
- Knowledge of de-escalation techniques and behaviour management strategies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive, flexible approach and commitment to supporting pupils with additional needs.
