Summary

To play an active part in the continuing development of the department and contribute to the maintenance of an environment conducive to the delivery of high standards of patient care, by promoting good communication and relationships between staff, patients and carers. To contribute to the implementation of high quality patient care within the community and acute setting. To support patients in successfully completing their course of TB medication. To manage the risk of transmission. To lead on management of TB incidents and outbreaks. To develop the service in line with local and government initiatives. To supervise junior staff, to teach qualified and unqualified staff, including students. To contribute to service development, business planning and the clinical governance agenda
