Responsibilities
Transport goods in a safe and timely manner to designated locations.
Conduct daily vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and report any issues or repairs needed.
Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery notes.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members regarding route changes or delivery concerns.
Load and unload cargo safely, ensuring proper securing of freight when necessary.
Provide excellent customer service by interacting with clients in a professional manner during deliveries.
Complete and maintain all relevant paperwork including logbooks and delivery documentation.
Requirements
Valid HGV driving license (Grade E) with a clean driving record.
Proven experience as an HGV driver with a thorough understanding of transport regulations.
Excellent navigation skills and knowledge of regional routes and traffic patterns.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients and team members.
Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving heavy items as needed.
Good time management skills to ensure timely deliveries and adherence to schedules.
Flexibility to work various shifts and adjust to changing work demands as required.
Hours Per Week: 37.00
Start Time: 06:00
End Time: 14:30
Pay Per Hour: £15.08
