Salary: £14.60 per hour, plus benefits
Job Type: Full-time
Contract: Monday to Friday | 40 hours/week | Shifts between 7:30am–6:00pm

About the Role
Are you an experienced early years professional with a passion for leadership and team development? Shooting Stars Nurseries is excited to be opening a brand-new, fully refurbished nursery in Tettenhall — and we’re looking for dedicated Room Leaders to help shape it from the very beginning!
This is a unique opportunity to be part of something special — play a key role in building a strong, collaborative team culture, leading a base room team to create a nurturing, high-quality environment for children, families, and staff from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a base room team to deliver high-quality care and education
- Collaborate with the Nursery Manager and wider team to continuously improve practice
- Plan and implement engaging activities using the EYFS framework
- Support staff development through mentoring and reflective practice
- Ensure safeguarding, health & safety, and food safety standards are met
- Build strong relationships with children, families, and external professionals
- Support & contribute to recruitment, inductions, and team development
- Promote a positive and inclusive nursery culture
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a confident, caring, and proactive leader who is ready to take on a new challenge. Ideally, you’ll bring:
- A full and relevant Early Years Level 3 qualification (or higher)
- Post-qualifying experience in a private day nursery setting
- Strong leadership and team motivation skills
- A passion for creating and developing a new team culture
- Excellent organisational, communication, and safeguarding skills
- A flexible, professional, and positive attitude
Desirable:
- Previous team leader/supervisory experience
- Experience of Ofsted inspections
- Experience working with children with SEN
