Primary Graduate Teaching Assistant

The Role:
Work across classes to deliver short, targeted intervention sessions in reading, writing and maths. Provide 1:1 catch-up, guide small groups, pre-teach and overlearn key content, and support assessment preparation. Prepare simple resources, log impact succinctly, and share next steps with class teachers.
The Candidate:
You’re a graduate who communicates clearly, stays organised, and builds positive relationships with pupils and staff. You follow guidance, use initiative to keep sessions purposeful, and are motivated to make measurable progress with learners.
Requirements
• Degree – A 2:2 or above in any subject.
• Communication – Clear and confident verbal and written communication.
• Enhanced DBS – Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
• Desire to work in education/with children – Strong commitment to inclusion and pupil wellbeing.
• Experience working with children – Any relevant experience (tutoring, mentoring, volunteering) is desirable but not essential.
