We’re now looking for a strategic and hands-on Supply Chain Manager to join our Ebbw Vale site. In this key role, you will ensure
the efficient flow of goods and materials throughout our manufacturing operations, from sourcing raw materials to delivering
finished products to our customers.
Reporting to the Site General Manager, you will lead planning, logistics, and distribution while embedding a culture of continuous
improvement across the team.
Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain Strategy
* Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with TCFG business goals.
* Optimise inventory levels, lead times, and transportation costs.
* Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
Demand Planning
* Collaborate with sales and production teams to forecast demand accurately.
* Ensure timely availability of raw materials and packaging components.
* Balance inventory levels to meet customer demand while avoiding excess stock.
* Manage labour plans to reflect customer demand.
* Control and improve departmental material variances.
Logistics and Distribution
* Coordinate transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities.
* Optimise delivery routes and minimise transportation costs.
* Monitor on-time delivery performance and address any delays.
Quality Assurance & Safety
* Work closely with quality control teams to maintain product standards.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and certifications.
* Maintain GMP and hygiene standards and drive safety performance and behaviours throughout the team.
Risk Management
* Identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation plans to prevent disruptions.
Team Leadership
* Lead, mentor, and develop a team of supply chain professionals.
* Collaborate across functions to support customer service decisions.
* Foster a results-driven, collaborative environment and a culture of continuous improvement.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
* Proven experience (5+ years) in supply chain management, ideally within the food industry.
* Strong analytical skills and proficiency in supply chain software.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
* Solid knowledge of UK food regulations and industry best practices.
