Summary

Are you an experienced Bid or Proposals Manager with a passion for winning work? Do you thrive in fast-paced environments, confidently leading senior teams through structured bid processes to secure outstanding successful outcomes?

If so, we want to hear from you!

HTA Design LLP is an award winning multi-disciplinary design partnership of specialist teams working collaboratively in Architecture, Landscape Design, Urban Design, Interior Design, Sustainability, Planning and Communication Design. We have a reputation for making great places – and creating a great place to work. We’ve been awarded AJ Employer of the Year four times, and we are proud to be AJ Practice of the Year 2025.

Winning new work is the lifeblood of our practice. While we’re proud to be recognised as one of the best in our field, we operate in a fiercely competitive market - and we need to stand out. That’s where you come in.

As our new Bid Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our future success. You will lead and manage the development and delivery of exceptional, compelling submissions that help us win the work that defines our practice. With a proven track record in both public and private procurement, you will bring strategic insight, creativity, and precision to every response – from straightforward RFPs and RFQs to comprehensive design competitions involving multiple partners – ensuring every submission hits the mark.

You will report directly to our Partner for New Business, working closely with a dynamic senior team of partners and team leaders, with the support of our creative writer, tender admin support, and our wider marketing team. You will be responsible for preparing and managing the entire bid/proposal-lifecycle, from initial enquiry to outcome. Between bids, you will focus on refining our bid processes and building a best-in-class Bid Library of reusable, high-impact content.

Our projects span a wide and exciting range – from social housing, regeneration, and mixed-use town centres, to interiors, parks, and historic landscapes. You will be supporting teams across all our disciplines.

To be considered for the role the successful candidate will have:
• Relevant Degree or other education/training certificate.
• Extensive experience in a bid/proposals-related role, ideally within a mid-to-large-scale design consultancy.
• Experience in developing bid strategies, including pricing and resource allocation.
• Expertise in bid management and text editing for bids.
• Experience in managing the full bid process from decision to outcome.
• Experience in leading coordinated bid campaigns and teams.
