Summary
Tenancy Support Officer (rough sleepers initiative)
We are currently looking for a Tenancy Support Officer to join One Vision Housing, part of The Sovini Group.

This position is a Fixed Term Contract until 31st of March 2026.
As a Tenancy Support Officer, you will be expected to:
• The Tenancy Support Officer will support homeless people to access and transition into their own home within the borough of Sefton.
• You will enable and support the person to move into their new home, develop the skills to live independently and manage a tenancy.
• You will act as a representative for the organisation at internal and external meetings.
• You will have experience of proactively working with rough sleepers, you will have excellent problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
• You will also have a good knowledge of relevant legislation, best practice and have the resilience to deal with challenging situations and deliver sustainable outcomes for our customers
• Commit to the CIH 7 Professional Standards of Conduct in your day-to-day activities. – For OVH/PCHA only.
• Commit to equality and diversity and to promote non-discriminatory practices in all aspects of work undertaken.
• Adhere with the Health and Safety at Work Act to take reasonable care of own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by their acts and omissions.
To be successful in a Tenancy Support Officer Role role, the skills you will need:
• GSCE level 4 or above, English is essential.
• You will have experience of assessing needs, risk and proactive case management.
• Experience of building effective relationships external agencies and stakeholders.
• Successful record of building relationships with customers.
• Working with frequently changing priorities to meet deadlines.
• Demonstrate a good knowledge of relevant legislation, best practice and have the resilience to deal with challenging situations and deliver sustainable outcomes for our customers.
• Knowledge of the range of statutory and voluntary agencies working in the area
• Communicate clearly, tactfully and effectively with a range of people by telephone, in writing, or and in person, often over sensitive and/or complex issues.
• Prioritise, manage and case record own workload and work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.
• Ability to take initiative and to problem solve.
• High level of influencing and advocacy skills.
• Ability and willingness to develop skills to enhance practice and the service.
• Understanding and commitment to the principles of equal opportunities relevant to housing services and employment.
• Ability to drive, hold a current driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
• Excellent communication skills, possessing the ability to communicate with staff at all levels of the Organisation across multiple communication channels including Teams and face-to-face.
• Ability to use Microsoft office including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Ability to work in an agile working environment.
• Team player with the ability to work off own initiative.
• Ofqual regulated CIH (3,5,7) Qualification or the commitment to work towards.
• Excellent communication skills, able to communicate across multiple channels including Microsoft Teams, Face to Face and Email.

Experience or Knowledge of the below would be advantageous but not essential:
• Recognised qualification in Housing, Social Care or Health.
• Previous experience of working in supported or social housing.
