Based within Youth Services, the post will provide dedicated youth work support as part of the Council’s Connected Communities team – a great opportunity to develop your career as a Community Learning and Development professional.
A key part of this role will be coordinating the delivery of the Duke of Edinburgh Awards programme in Renfrewshire, encouraging participation and ensuring accessibility of the Award for all young people.
This role will suit an organised individual with experience of working with young people, adults or families in a community setting. You will be an effective communicator verbally and in writing, able to work with a range of groups and individuals in a range of community settings and have an ability to evaluate and review.
A relevant Community Learning and Development qualification, experience of supporting award and achievement programmes for young people and adults and specific skills in one or more areas of Community Learning and Development are desirable but not essential. In particular for this role, qualifications and experience relating to outdoor learning and Duke of Edinburgh are highly relevant.
