Park Signalling combines technology design and consultancy with specialist knowledge and product development to enhance the
service life of train control systems and equipment. With a range of products and solutions for monitoring signalling assets,
Park Signalling uses digital technologies to deliver performance improvements for heavy and light rail networks and signalling
systems globally.

We are now recruiting for a Product Safety Graduate Engineer to join our busy team in Stockport. As a Product Safety Graduate
Engineer at Park Signalling, you will be aiding in the progression of the hazard and safety management of the railway products we
produce. You will have an opportunity to work in many areas of the systems lifecycle demonstrating, and developing, your product
safety knowledge. You will assist in ensuring that company processes, within the Quality Management System, remain fit for
purpose and enable continuous improvement of them by leading regular reviews and proactively suggesting and implementing
improvements.

This role will report to the Safety Director and when assigned to a project, you will have a reporting line to the respective
Project Manager, who will be responsible for the day-to-day assignments and tasks. You will also have the opportunity to work
alongside a number of highly skilled engineers who will support you by sharing their knowledge and experience to help you develop
further in the role.

Key responsibilities of this role include;

* Applying the methodology of the CSM RA regulation, other Rail Industry legislation and applicable standards.
* Taking part in the hazard identification and risk analysis of new and improved products.
* Demonstrating the ability to define measures to control risks So Far As Is Reasonably Practicable (SFAIRP).
* Aiding in the development of producing safety processes.
* Understanding the product safety deliverables of a product lifecycle.
* Building effective working relationships (internal and external) to aid in delivering product safety throughout a project.
* Helping to create a positive, enthusiastic, supportive working environment.
* Suggesting ideas for continuous improvements that support and develop the business.
* Escalating, to Management, any problems that may affect the work you are involved in.

Candidates must be qualified to Degree level in an Engineering related subject and have an interest in Product Safety. Whilst not
essential, a qualification in Systems Engineering/Project Management and or knowledge of EN50126, EN50129, EN50716 training would
be highly advantageous.

Candidates must also be able to demonstrate the following;

* An interest in the UK railway.
* Understand the necessity to document and prove, in an auditable sense, that any product development is conducted in a
professional and safe way.
* Interpersonal skills which show an ability to work with colleagues and customers at all levels and generate positive, open
relationships.
* Attention to detail.
* Able to communicate complex or technical topics in a concise, clear manner.
* Technical report writing.
* To critically analyse a systems life cycle across a broad range of engineering principles.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and work to deadlines

This is a Graduate level position and as such we understand that you may not be able to demonstrate experience in all of the
above. However, we welcome applications from candidates who have an interest in Engineering/Product Safety, and who are keen to
develop their engineering career in a highly skilled and knowledgeable team.
