We have an exciting opportunity for a fixed term Community Support Worker to join our Community Support Team working at Islwyn Park Coffee Shop and Islwyn Catering where we provide voluntary work experience and paid employment opportunities. You will work alongside Individuals supporting them to develop skills, gain knowledge and obtain qualifications. Islwyn Catering provides all the produce that is sold at the Coffee Shop, both are training environments and can be fast-paced, particularly Islwyn Park Coffee Shop which is customer facing.



You will need to be able to work flexibly with us to ensure the level of support required is available. Access to a car is a requirement of this role.



For the role, we ask that you have:

A Level 2 or 3 qualification in Care on the Credit and Qualifications Framework or the commitment and ability to attain the qualification within 1 year of appointment (subject to availability of training).
Experience within a learning disability setting.
Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business/work to transport individuals throughout the county borough.
Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence to drive a leased Council vehicle to transport individuals regularly throughout the day. In order to undertake the post it is compulsory for the post holder to pass a driving assessment as determined by the insurance liabilities of the lease hire vehicle.
