Summary
What's involved with this role:
Contract Type: Interim Contract
The role: As a Catering Assistant/Steward, you will deliver high-quality food and beverage services, bar operations, and support for reception and accommodation management. You will report to WO Catering Flight and their deputies, working under Mess Management direction and rostered duties.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver food services across varied shifts, including daytime and evening functions.
Support bar, reception, and accommodation operations as required.
Work alongside RAF personnel and ESS to ensure compliance with JSP 456 and ESS policy.
Operate EPOS tills, manage cash handling, and follow profit protection procedures.
Assist with stock takes, basic IT input, and admin tasks.
Adhere to strict hygiene standards, PPE requirements, and UK food safety/health & safety legislation.
Provide exceptional customer service and hospitality.
Maintain high levels of security awareness and reporting culture.
What the client is looking for:
Experience in food & beverage or hospitality.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Basic BPSS
Desirable:
Catering experience.
Food Safety Level 2.
