Summary
The post is to provide a PFSA service to the following schools with the indicative time spent in those schools indicated in brackets.
Ansford Academy (54%)
Castle Cary Community Primary School (21%)
Ditcheat Primary School (9%)
Keinton Mandeville Primary School (16%)
It will be necessary for the successful candidate to be able to travel between schools and some home visits will be necessary. Therefore the ability to drive is considered necessary for the role.
The post is hosted by Ansford Academy as part of the Midsomer Norton Schools Partnership.Core Purpose:Provide advice and guidance to children/young people, families and schools, to encourage their involvement in the school environment, encourage the positive participation of the students in the learning environment of the school, and improve the learning opportunities for those students.
Investigate the circumstances behind absences or contributing causing children and young people to be unable to make best use of time at school and, if appropriate, help resolve difficulties and identify areas that may be of concern in the near future.
Enable the focus of attention on likely causes to provide a preventative option for the school and other agencies.
