Summary

We’re looking for a dynamic Chief Operating Officer to help shape the future of our organisation and lead operational excellence across our services.

About the Role
As our Charity COO, you’ll work closely with the Head of Charity Services to deliver our mission and vision. You’ll oversee performance, compliance, and continuous improvement, ensuring our services meet the needs of our customers and communities. You’ll lead a diverse team, manage operational systems, and play a key role in strategic planning, risk management, and digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities
- Deputise for the Head of Charity Services and lead the Charity Management Team.
- Drive strategic development and performance improvement across all services.
- Lead on compliance, risk management, and quality assurance.
- Oversee digital systems and performance dashboards.
- Inspire and empower staff and volunteers to deliver high-quality, person-centred services.
- Represent the charity externally and build strong stakeholder relationships.

What We’re Looking For

Essential:
- Level 5+ qualification in Operations Management or related field.
- Health & Safety qualification (Level 2+).
- Proven experience in service performance management, staff supervision, and customer service excellence.
- Strong digital skills including CRM, dashboards, and workforce planning.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.

Desirable:
- Management qualifications.
- Experience in older people’s services, safeguarding, and community development.
- Training and coaching skills.
