Working across a national portfolio (with a focus south of Manchester/Central England and into Ireland), and with dual accountabilities to a line manager and Head of Estates.Key Responsibilities:You will be responsible for the successful delivery of capital property projects, including new builds, flatted developments, major refurbishments, and complex maintenance schemes. Projects are delivered through external consultancy teams and contractors, with the PM responsible for selection, appointment, performance management, and contract administration. You will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required standards, while embedding The Salvation Army’s values and mission.To be successful in this role you will have:A strong background in construction project management, with experience spanning inception through to post-project review.Proven experience of managing projects under industry-standard contracts (JCT and or NEC) - recognising these as delivery vehicles rather than methodologies - with the ability to administer either form as required, and maintain a proactive risk register reflecting best practice elements from NEC.Knowledge of best practice in property and procurement, with practical experience in contract selection, contractor management, and performance oversight.Desirable: experience of managing flatted developments within a construction setting.Demonstrable ability to plan, organise, and prioritise workloads to deliver multiple projects simultaneously across a national remit.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to convey ideas and processes clearly and professionally.Sound numerical and analytical skills to support decision making and problem solving.Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and databases.The ability and willingness to work within, be empathic with, and promote the Christian ethos and values of The Salvation Army Mission.In order to complete your application please download and read the job profile and any other attachments.In the job profile you will find the criteria required for the role please make sure that you address this in your supporting statement as this forms the basis of our shortlisting.Appointment subject to satisfactory references, proof of right to work in the UKFor details of how to prove your right to work in the UK please click here and please note that we are unable to offer sponsorship.
