Purpose
The purpose of this role is to assist LWS in the manufacturing of retail finished goods, following all company processes and procedures to do so.
Role and Responsibilities
• Follow the company processes and procedures in relation to food safety, allergen control, protective clothing and maintain good manufacturing practices throughout the shift
• Follow the clean as you go policy and maintain high standards of personal hygiene
• Deliver high standards of quality ensuring products are produced in line with site standards and customer specification
• Adhere to plan and keep the production downtime to a minimum
• Complete product changeovers in a timely manner
• Complete and submit documentation accurately and in a timely manner to ensure traceability is maintained
• Meet the relevant KPIs and targets assigned by line manager
• Assist in day-to-day operation and provide cover and support to other operatives if necessary
• Carry out occasional or new tasks as required
Health and Safety
• Carry out assigned tasks and duties in a safe manner in accordance with instructions and to comply with safety rules/procedures/ regulations and report any unsafe practice or condition
• Complete task-based objectives following safe systems of work
• Follow reasonable work instructions from line managers/team leaders
• Report any accident, near-miss, dangerous occurrence, or condition to the line manager/team leader
• Obtain and use the correct tools/equipment for the work and do not use any that are unsafe or damaged. Report any tolls/equipment issues
• Do not operate any faulty machinery or equipment
• Do not remove any machinery or equipment guards
• Wear PPE at all times per care area
• Do not to operate any plant or equipment unless authorised and trained
Role Requirements
Essential
- Understanding of a safe working environment
- Willingness to enhance individual knowledge in areas of development
Desirable
- Experience of working in a food manufacturing environment
- Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene
