Clayton Glass is a leading UK manufacturer of insulated glass units (IGUs), conservatory roofs, and specialist glazing products. We’re proud to do things differently — putting people first and driving innovation across our sites.

We’re looking for a (highly skilled) Maintenance Engineer who can hit the ground running and take ownership of equipment performance at our Blackburn site. In this senior-level role, you’ll also provide support and guidance to engineers across our other UK locations — whether remotely via Microsoft Teams or through occasional, infrequent site visits (with travel expenses and accommodation covered).

You’ll carry out planned maintenance, respond to breakdowns, and lead continuous improvement initiatives. Your expertise will help shape our maintenance standards and contribute to reducing downtime across the business.

Essential:

• Full UK driving licence
• Electrical maintenance/engineering apprenticeship or equivalent
• 2+ years’ experience in industrial manufacturing
• Strong fault-finding skills across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Ability to read technical drawings
• Willingness to travel to other sites when required

Desirable:

• 18th Edition certification
• IT literacy (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Excellent communication and leadership skills

Benefits:

• Quarterly performance-related bonus scheme
• 25 days holiday + bank holidays + birthday off
• Pension, wellbeing support, free parking
• Discounted Clayton Glass products
• Career development opportunities
• Travel expenses and accommodation covered when visiting other sites

Important: Applicants must have the right to work in the UK. We do not offer visa sponsorship.
