Where will you be working?
At M Group Water, we help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team, supporting the delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects across our frameworks.
As a Graduate Mechanical Engineer, you’ll have the opportunity to:

- Support the design, specification and delivery of mechanical systems for water and wastewater treatment facilities
- Assist in reviewing technical drawings, calculations and specifications to ensure compliance with industry standards and client requirements
- Contribute to the development of innovative engineering solutions that improve efficiency, sustainability and performance
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including civil, electrical and process engineers to deliver integrated project outcomes
- Attend site visits to gain hands-on experience and understand the practical aspects of mechanical installations
- Support the preparation of technical reports, risk assessments and method statements
- Learn how to manage suppliers and subcontractors, and contribute to procurement activities
- Gain exposure to project planning, budgeting and quality assurance processes
- Participate in commissioning activities and performance testing of mechanical systems

You’ll be:

- Learning how mechanical systems operate within the water industry, including pumps, valves, pipework and treatment equipment
- Developing an understanding of asset lifecycle, maintenance strategies and reliability engineering
- Building confidence in applying engineering principles to real-world challenges

- Supported by experienced engineers and mentors to help you grow into a future technical leader
