This is a new opportunity for an Measurement and Verification specialist to provide technical insight
and ensure delivery of energy, water, and Operations and Maintenance (O&M) savings for energy
savings performance contracts (ESPC) and Energy Conservation Measures (ECM’s).
Job Description
The provision of a world class energy management service to a high-profile client covering their data
centre portfolio. Working for a leading Facilities Management provider comprising multiple premises,
both owned and sub-let throughout the UK. An account M&V Analyst is required to operate across the
client’s sites in the UK.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and own optimisation / energy performance processes
• Provide training on new and existing M&V techniques
• Provide analytical support for M&V contracts
• Create M&V plans
• Manage energy exception process to maximise savings
• Work with delivery teams to advise on M&V strategy
• Present analysis output to stakeholders
• To measure and calculate the effective management of energy identified from projects and
targets.
• To record, baseline and measure energy at a portfolio and site level within data centre, retail
sites and complex building structures
• Carry out all energy related tasks to ensure service provision and compliance with relevant
• Maintain a thorough understanding of the measurement and verification techniques. Support the
development of new M&V techniques
• Develop and implement energy saving conservation measures (ECM’s) reports
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Qualifications
• Completion of a recognised degree or equivalent in mathematics or data analysis
• International Performance Measurement and Verification Protocol/ Certified Measurement &
Verification Professional
• Full UK Driving License.
Knowledge and Experience
• Masters or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent
• Qualified as a CMVP
• Strong experience with M&T systems
• Strong analytical skills.
• A broad understanding of energy conservation
• Technical understanding of building services and control systems
• Technical understanding of BMS
• Experience in energy measurement
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in energy management
• Extensive knowledge of the principle techniques of energy measurement and verification
• Competency in energy analysis techniques and related statistical analysis
• Understand the principles behind HVAC, refrigeration and Lighting operation and system
design / integration
• Ability to carry out full energy saving measurements against IMVP (A,B,C and D) for identified
and delivered energy savings
• Knowledge of customer operations, business drivers, financials and specialist sources of
information, legislative requirements where necessary
