Summary
About the role:
As Senior Engagement Officer, you’ll lead consultation and engagement activities that help shape council decisions and improve local services. You’ll create opportunities for residents and stakeholders to get involved, gather and analyse feedback, and present findings that help decision-makers take informed action.
You’ll work closely with council teams, elected members, residents, and partners to deliver inclusive engagement that reflects the needs of our communities.
What you’ll do:
Lead engagement and consultation projects from start to finish
Analyse feedback, including sentiment and representation
Build strong relationships with colleagues, residents, and partners
Champion inclusive engagement and encourage participation
Support the development of our ‘Let’s talk Lincolnshire’ engagement platform
About you:
You are an experienced engagement professional who:
Communicates confidently and effectively with a wide range of audiences
Has a proven track record in planning, delivering, and evaluating engagement or consultation activities
Is skilled at reporting findings to decision-makers and the public
Brings strong organisational skills and can manage multiple complex projects
Demonstrates political awareness, tact, and resilience in challenging situations
Values collaboration, creativity, and continuous improvement
About the team:
We’re a small, friendly team with a big reach. We work across the council to deliver impactful engagement – online and face-to-face. We value collaboration, creativity, and a strong team ethos, with flexibility to support hybrid working and occasional travel across the county. As part of the communications and engagement service, you’ll also work with colleagues across the wider team to align with communications campaigns and digital developments.
