This is an exciting opportunity to join the Research and Publications team at Dementia UK, leading on the development and maintenance of high-quality research and publications within the clinical directorate.


As the Head of Research and Publications, you will provide strategic leadership across all research, evaluation and academic publishing activities, supporting the evidence-based development of Admiral Nursing and its impact on families affected by dementia. You will play a key role in embedding research and insight into the charity’s operational and strategic planning, ensuring that our work is informed by robust evidence and shared through reputable academic journals and wider press.


You will represent Dementia UK on matters relating to research and academic output, building strong relationships with internal teams and external partners to promote our work and influence the wider dementia care landscape. Through your leadership, you will position the charity as a trusted source of clinical and academic expertise, advancing our reputation across the sector.


To succeed in this role, you will hold a doctorate in a relevant health or social care field, with extensive academic activity and publication records in the fields of research or impact. You will possess expert knowledge of the health and social care landscape, particularly in relation to dementia and its impact on individuals and families. Additionally, you will demonstrate significant experience in strategic leadership in research or evaluation within higher education or health and social care organisations.
