We’re looking for a skilled Buyer / Procurement Specialist to join our team and play a key role in ensuring effective supplier management, cost control, and material flow across our business.
The Role
This is a hands-on role where you’ll be trusted to lead end-to-end procurement activity, resolve challenges with initiative, and make a real impact in a fast-paced environment.
We’re seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this key role, you’ll drive our procurement strategy and support New Product Introduction, collaborating across departments to ensure the efficient sourcing of high-quality materials and components.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead on procurement activity, ensuring smooth material flow into the business
• Develop cost reduction opportunities and supplier development plans
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) projects
• Review contracts, create SLA agreements, and drive supplier performance against KPIs
• Manage supplier relationships strategically, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement
• Manage material flow and stockholding, reducing obsolescence and improving efficiency
• Resolve invoice queries and maintain accurate pricing in systems
• Oversee supplier schedules and material management agreements
• Reduce stockholding, limit obsolete inventory, and collaborate with production teams on supply challenges

What We’re Looking for:
• MCIPS or CIPS level 4 qualified
• Background in manufacturing, with UK based expertise
• Strong background in ethical sourcing electrical and gas components, as well as raw materials (stainless and mild steel) with UK and international suppliers
• Experience in commodity management
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects from start to finish, as well as contract management, strong negotiation and analytical skills
• Knowledge of MRP systems and supply chain processes
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Full UK driving licence – UK and European travel involved
• Must have the right to work in the UK without the need for sponsorship now or in the future
