What skills and experience we're looking for
We are now seeking to appoint an exceptional Deputy Headteacher to join our senior leadership team to help drive the school vision on a fixed term basis for 12 months from January 2026. This pivotal role is vital in supporting the Headteacher in the comprehensive management and strategic development of the school, ensuring the delivery of exceptional education and outstanding pastoral care for our pupils.
The ideal candidate will:
Be a dynamic individual and strong classroom practitioner with the ability to lead by example.
Have safeguarding experience (DDSL) and a willingness to undertake the DDSL role.
Have the ability to develop strong working relationships with staff, pupils, parents, governors, and other stakeholders.
The vacancy may provide a secondment opportunity for someone who is considering climbing the leadership career ladder and is wanting to gain experience in the role of deputy headteacher. Any such arrangement will be subject to agreement by all parties.
