Responsibilities
Conduct inspections of private sector properties to evaluate compliance with housing standards.
Advise landlords on responsibilities and best practices for maintaining properties.
Engage with tenants to address concerns regarding housing conditions and facilitate resolutions.
Prepare and maintain accurate reports and documentation related to inspections and compliance.
Manage cases involving enforcement actions against non-compliant properties, including notice issuance and follow-up.
Collaborate with local authorities to develop housing policies and initiatives aimed at improving living conditions.
Provide training and support to landlords and property managers on relevant legislation and housing regulations.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a related field such as housing management, urban studies, or public policy.
Previous experience in housing inspection, property management, or a related field is preferred.
Strong knowledge of housing legislation, property standards, and tenant rights.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess property conditions and develop practical solutions.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently as well as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with data management and report generation.
Hours Per Week: 36.00

End Time: 17:00
