If you are looking for a rewarding part-time role with the opportunity to grow and develop your career in licensing enforcement, we have the role for you.

We have a rare opportunity to join our small, dedicated Licensing team and we are able to office this role at three entry levels - Assistant Licensing Officer, Licensing Officer, or Licensing Enforcement Officer - depending on your experience and qualifications. If you can’t join us at the enforcement officer level, then you will be supported to gain the level of qualification and experience needed to develop into the Licensing Enforcement Officer role.

For all levels, you will play a vital role in ensuring compliance across a wide range of licensed activities—from taxis and alcohol premises to animal welfare and gambling. Depending on your entry level your duties may include; administrative support and investigatory work; conducting inspections and providing advice; or leading investigations, taking enforcement action, and representing the Council at hearings and tribunals.

We are looking for someone with good communication skills, a keen eye for detail, analytical abilities and a commitment to high-quality service . A full driving licence is essential, and experience in enforcement or licensing with a Level 3 Award for Animal Licensing Inspectors is desirable but not required at entry levels. If you are adaptable, self-motivated, and ready to make a difference, we would welcome your application.
