Hours: 7:30am-4:00pm Mon-Thurs / Fri 7:30am-3:00pm
Pay: £35,000 - £37,000 DOE
The Company
Our client is a professional Sub-Con precision machining company working within various sectors including aerospace, metrology, rheology, semi-conductor and oil & gas. They have a small team that work to tight deadlines and offers job variety at a fast pace. A healthy and growing order book means it is the perfect time to recruit for the Senior Quality Inspector.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform first-off, in-process, and final inspections on precision machined components.
• Use manual measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers, height gauges, and bore gauges.
• Operate CMM machines for dimensional inspection and reporting.
• Accurately interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Maintain detailed and accurate inspection records.
• Identify and report non-conformances, supporting continuous improvement efforts.
• Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
• Provide support to the quality inspector and workshop
Requirements
• Proven experience in a similar quality inspection role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Must have 3-5 years aerospace experience
• Proficient in the use of manual inspection tools.
• Hands-on experience with CMM
• Strong understanding of geometric tolerancing and engineering drawings.
• Good communication skills and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
• High attention to detail and a proactive attitude toward quality standards.
