Hays is proud to be working in partnership with a forward-thinking local authority to recruit an Inclusive Pathways Manager. This is a pivotal role within a wider strategic initiative aimed at preventing exclusions and promoting inclusive education pathways for children and young people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a dedicated team focused on preventing exclusions and developing inclusive pathways.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on exclusion processes and statutory requirements.
- Oversee the brokerage of Early Help and Family Support at the first point of need.
- Manage responsibilities related to Alternative Provision and Management Moves.
- Support Sharing Panels in creating inclusive pathways and alternatives to exclusion.
- Develop strategic partnerships with schools and settings to promote managed moves and alternative provision.
- Disseminate guidance aligned with DfE and Local Authority policies.
- Drive strategic engagement across the directorate to ensure early support for children and families.
- Deliver supervision and ensure statutory compliance in case management.
- Manage team operations and ensure caseload administration aligns with exclusion legislation.
- Promote proactive inclusion and behaviour strategies in collaboration with schools.
- Maintain oversight of stakeholder enquiries, including parents/carers and schools.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
- Proven experience in education inclusion, safeguarding, or children's services.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of exclusion legislation and statutory guidance.
- Ability to build strategic partnerships and influence across multi-agency settings.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
