We have an exciting opportunity for an Activity Leader in Sport to join a friendly, supportive, and positive Student Experience team. The role is varied with lots of opportunity to develop new skills and knowledge.
You will be required to:
Develop and offer a robust and inclusive engagement programme to provide opportunities for all learners to participate (including non-sporting activities)
Contribute to the wider personal development programme across the Group and support the development of wider skills and improved wellbeing through activity.
Identify gaps in provision, and develop new opportunities in response to Student Voice and external trends.
Support the embedding of key values such as sustainability, inclusion and community involvement.
Collaborate with other Student Experience staff to ensure a joined-up approach to student wellbeing
As an Activity Leader in Sport, you should have good planning and organisational skills, alongside excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to work with a wide range of people. This is a diverse role where you will be building relationships with curriculum and support staff, and many other stakeholders.
You will have:
GCSE grade A*-C/9-4 in English and Maths or equivalent
A Degree in Sport or equivalent professional qualification is desirable, but not essential
A Level 2 Coaching qualification, or a qualification in Youth Work is desirable, but not essential
Extensive experience as a Sports Practitioner or Coach
